Canterbury Area, Creative Fibre, is looking for a treasurer

Area Delegate: Fay Hider acanterbury@creativefibre.org.nz
7 September 2016
Dear Creative Fibre Members

As you are all aware we are in need of an Area Treasurer.  Heather Williams is standing down at our AGM after three years of conscientious and meticulous commitment.
We have been asking since our last AGM for anyone interested to come forward.  However we have received no replies.  Heather is happy to help and share her knowledge with the incoming Treasurer.  The role includes receiving, paying out all money as required, and keeping records of same.  Heather has set up internet banking to help with this.  Our Area meetings are currently held every two months at the Tannery on a Friday morning.  A report of our financial position is required at these meetings.  At the end of our Financial year (Sept) the books are forwarded to the Auditor for annual reports which are presented at our AGM in November.
Heather is happy to help the incoming Treasurer settle in and the Area Committee are here for help and support in any way.  We have a friendly and supportive Area Committee and we would welcome our new member with open arms.
lease have a serious think about this, if you or any other member is interested we would love to hear from you as soon as possible.
Thanks Kind regards
Cherry Thompson, Area President, Cherry.thompson@outlook.co.nz, frhider@yahoo.com
